Anyway, after hearing what my father said, i felt that it was quite true. The only thing that i would like to post here is once again about truths and lies.
Take a look at this scenario:
Girl A scores a 99 in her exam, and is the 1st in class. Her friends went to ask if she's first in class, but she lied "no..i didn't". So, Girl B, who scored only 98, overheard the conversation, and thought to herself "That means i'm the first in class".
At this point of time, Girl A lied to her friends that she is not the 1st in class, and made Girl B think that she (girl B) was the 1st in class become the truth.
So then, when friends asked Girl B how much she scored, Girl B says "I've got 1st in class".
At that point of time, what Girl B said was a lie, and the truth was Girl A is the 1st in class.
Conclusion: A truth can be a lie, and a lie can be a truth.
Then this takes on to the next topic, about perception and mindset again.
Using the same scenario:
Girl A lies to her friends that she's not the first in class.
- Her friends perceive that she's telling the truth.
Girl B says that she's the 1st in class, which is not the truth.
- Her friends perceive that she's telling the truth.
- Because Girl B was too honest, they view Girl B as proud, arrogant, show-off.
IF this group of friends find out that Girl B is in fact not the 1st in class, and found out actually Girl A is the 1st.
- Friends view Girl B as a liar.
- Friends think Girl A was trying to be modest about herself.
Basically, the truth and lies are how one perceive them to be. But of course, there is only 1 truth, and this is known to only 1 person, and that is the person who was actually involved in the event itself.
Another factor would actually be faith. When you have faith in a person, you will think that whatever the person say is the truth. Even though they are lies, you will still think of them as the truth, because you are faithful to the person.
And so, i guess you readers can figure out the rest. Other things my father was telling me about is parallel paths of life, and about resetting one's life path. "Be careful of what you wish for, it may come true." He explained how scary this sentence can mean, and after thinking about it, it felt so true.
Oh well...gonna go slp soon. Shall read my father's blog one day...
